ABOUT THIS POEM:
Let me start off and say that this is a poem I wish I would have wrote because it
is so beautiful. I saw this poem in a church library book of poetry and I copied it
out of the book. So Ms. Ellen Schlaefer, we thank you for this masterpiece.
I gathered some stardust from out of the sky
A few drops of color, from a rainbow on high
A few tiny moonbeams from the radiant moon
And brewed up a potion to capture you
I gathered some whispers from soft rustling leaves
A sigh from the flutter of a gentle summer breeze
A raindrop from a lily pad, a blush from a rose
And brewed up a potion to make you my own
I gathered some kisses from a dove and his mate
A soft downy feather from a swan in a lake
I scooped up some soft clouds from the blue above
And brewed up a potion to capture your love
