A poem about two amazing women

ABOUT THIS POEM:
This poem is about my admiration for two women that have
inspired my life and touched it deeply. They are my mother
(Ms. Dorothy on this site) and Oprah Winfrey.
The idea of this poem came to me as I was thinking about
people that I feel have made a positive influence upon me.
In today's world, a lot of people tend to look at some bad role
models as their heroes. (One name having to do with a certain
hotel chain heiress and another's last name having to do with a
long knife. Think "spear") So I looked at my heroes and came up
with these two wonderful ladies.
Most of the poems you have read so far have dealt with various
forms of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual love. This poem
is an exception. It's subject is about the love of a person that you
admire and have touched your life. You may not be IN love with that
person, but you do have love FOR that person.
Two women whose lives are so separate
Yet I see as equals
Oh Mother,
Through my eyes I have seen your life unfold
I have witnessed your joys and pains
Your highs and lows, your strengths and weaknesses
I have seen your tears and caused your tears
I have seen those whom you loved wrong you, almost unto your death
Not an easy life you have had
But I still love you and deeply respect you
Ms. Winfrey
The eyes of the world have seen your life story
Including my own
We have seen how you rose from humble beginnings
Your successes, your failures
Those you have helped and those that hurt you
We have felt and shared your joys and pains
Yet you remained strong
An amazing woman worthy of my admiration
And like mother, worthy of the deepest of respect
Oh ladies,
Separate yet equal I see the two of you
Separate yet equal you have lived
Separate yet equal in emotion, determination, and persistence
Through my eyes I have lived with you both
Admired you both, respected you both
One of a son to a mother
One for the love of an inspirational human being
You ladies have overcome great odds
The powers of perseverance, determination, and prayer were your allies
In becoming the great women I see you as
You two have captured my heart
Dazzled my imagination
Ignited my inspiration
And enriched my life
The way you have lived yours
My love goes out to you ladies
And may God be with you both
