ABOUT THIS POEM:
This is a poem I wrote about we men and our insecurities. At times
we feel as if we are not good enough to be in love with a woman.
Doubts come up because we place her on a pedestal so high that
it makes us feel inferior to her. So this is my attempt at trying to
explain to the world those feelings.
I AM...
Just a man
That wants to love you
Body and Soul
Heart and Mind
To love you with all I have
Spiritually, Mentally, Physically
To be in love with you
Day, Night, always falling
For I am...
Just A Man
A man whom is searching for
the face of God
By doing what is right
By treating you right
That he may bless our love
For without him we do not stand a chance
To be together.....forever
For I am....
Just a man
A man who fights his fears
That he is not good enough
To love someone like you
Totally, completely, unconditionally
A man who yearns to touch your delicate skin
To hold your lovely body
To kiss your fair lips
To make love with you so passionately
For he feels so unworthy
of such a marvelous beauty
Of such a natural splendor
As you
For I am...
Just a man
That longs to be closer than close to you
Oh so near, but yet so far away
When I am with you
Into your mind is where I long to be
Your very soul is my being
My hiding place is within your heart
Can this man be given the chance
To do all these things with you?
For you?
To you?
Can you forgive this man's shortcomings?
His fears?
His tears?
Will you hold him when he cries over you?
Will you scold him when he's mad at you?
But most importantly...will you still love him?
For I am...
Just a man.
