THE MEDIA EXPOSES STUPIDITY
For those of you that think that when you do something really stupid that you think you have got away with it, think again!!! If it requires the police or the courts or anything having to do with it being in public, the media will pick up on it and tell us all. Whether it be newspaper or television or even the internet, the world will find out about your dumbassedness.
So this is why we know about people like Barbara Dutton of Des Moines, Iowa who was fired from her job as a SUPPLY CLERK at a 12-employee company for gross incompetence. Dutton had ordered, over an 18 month time period about $230,000 of office supplies, including 16,000 pens and $15,000 in Scotch Tape. Dutton later said “I did not realize that I was not needing everything” .
Say what?
Now let me get this one straight. You work as a supply clerk for a small (12 person) company and you did not know that you DID NOT NEED 16,000 pens and $15,000 in tape? You never saw all the pens and tape stacking up? What’s jacked with this picture????
Or how abut Cornell Jackson of Panama City, Florida who was on trial for 2 assault cases with his ex-girlfriend. Cornell claimed insanity and to prove it to the jury, he loudly yelled “Cuckoo-cuckoo” and then dropped his pants and mooned the jury. The jury found him guilty in 30 minutes and he was dragged from the courtroom by two bailiffs and 2 sheriff’s deputies.
So we can thank the media for letting us know about the “geniuses” among us. (I personally want to thank the media because if it were not for them, this book would not be written).
Just as the media tells on the asininity of those on the bottom of the scale so too does it tell about those being dumb on the higher end of the scale. Let’s start with the “wizardry” of Paris Hilton. In May of 2006, Paris was at the unveiling of HER OWN video game at the Electronics Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles. The game was titled “Paris Hilton’s Jewel Jam” but when it came time for her to introduce HER new game, it somehow got changed to “Diamondquest”
Not far behind on the MINAB scale (Here is a new one for you all. While the TRUE geniuses have their MENSA, the MAD’s among us now have MINAB. (MINAB stands for Man I Need A Brain) is Britney Spears, whose first marriage to her childhood friend Jason Allen Alexander took place to after a long night of drinking and who knows what else. Spears had to file annulment papers admitting that she basically did not understand her actions when she agreed to the marriage. Well, I think it is hard to understand how anyone could NOT understand NO MATTER HOW DRUNK THEY ARE that they were about to get married IN FRONT OF PEOPLE AND A PREACHER!
And lastly, les us not forget about Jessica Simpson. While visiting the White House she was introduced to Interior Secretary Gale Norton and said: “You have done a nice job decorating the White House”
But the biggest exposer of idiocy is television. On TV we see so many people doing or saying some of the dumbest things a human can imagine. I could write all day on this subject but I will be nice. I will touch on a subject that has always intrigued me when I see it on TV. And that subject leads right into our next section titled:
THE WORD “DAREDEVIL” AND STUPIDITY
I would now like to explain to you all my take on the word “Daredevil” and stupidity. Let’s start by taking the word apart. DARE means you have the courage (Or you have the stupidity) to do some crazy assed stunt. So when you decide to do some- thing REALLY freakin nutty (Like the guys I saw on the show “REAL TV” that were driving 2 cars side by side down the street at 35 miles-per-hour and one of them gets real smart and wants to CLIMB OUT THE MOVING CAR HE WAS IN and to CLIMB INTO the other car without stopping or slowing down. You don’t need me to tell you where this CAL ended up)
So when you do some crazy assed stunt and you want to play the part of a person who is daring, you then are saying to THE DEVIL “Look Mr. Devil, I am going to do this crazy assed stunt. I am going to act like a JLJ and I and I DARE YOU to do something about it. In other words, you are DARING THE DEVIL to stick his nose in this stupid assed thing you are about to do. This is what the word “Daredevil” means to me. And sometimes when you jack with the devil he may let you succeed with your stupidity. But sooner or later when you jack with the devil, he is going to jack you back. He will stick his nose in there and foul things up. And foul you up.
When I was young (In the 70’s) I used to love Evil Knievel. He was the best stuntman ever (I thought). I used to love to watch The Wide World of Sports on ABC to see what new motorcycle jump he was about to do. (Like the Snake River jump) To me he was the greatest daredevil that ever lived. Now I think different.
Now I think he was a freakin nut.
Now I think that Evil dared the devil a few too many times and the devil answered his dares. I recently saw a picture of him and read the short article about him. He was saying how he was in so much pain all over his body and he has to take all kinds of pills for the rest of his life. This was caused by him DARING THE DEVIL time and time again. (Note: Evil Knievel died in 2007)
So what is the moral of all this?
Simple.
Don’t be a freakin knucklehead and dare the devil.
If you do and lose, you may end up in the media (In one form or another) as being an idiot. Plus I may get to add you to my "FOUL BALLS" section.
And TV exposes it all. The Media.
The Media also exposed Paul Fernandez of Hunington Beach, California who got pulled by a car with a rope while riding his bicycle.. He wanted to get up extra speed so that he could go off a ramp and jump onto a low roof on the bike.. He hit the ramp after letting go of the rope and instead of landing on the roof he hit the side of the building real hard and fell all the way back to the ground. He too dared the devil and lost. And got all jacked up in the process.
