This is a book about stupidity- plain and simple. Stupid people,
stupid people doing stupid things, stupid people having bad days, and
smart people acting stupid. Over the years, I have watched stupidity
become bigger and better.. In our highly technical supposed-to-be
smarter world, stupidity still exists. Matter of fact, it is at an all time
high. It has always been with us, but now it is more evident and in
some cases, it is worse than ever.

You may think I am crazy for writing a book on a subject like this,
but it was one that I feel had to be written. I have been collecting
stories about people from all walks of life doing dumb things and
now it is time to put all the years of story collecting into a book
like this.

Let me now give you an idea of what you are about to read.

In Texas, Amy Brasher put 18 packages of marijuana under the
hood of her car and then took the car to a mechanic to be worked
on. The mechanic found the dope under the hood and called the
police, who then arrested Amy. She later told police that she did
not realize that the mechanic had to raise the hood of her car to
change her oil.

Or how about this one: In Memphis, Tennessee 3 thieves went BACK
to a home they had ROBBED BEFORE to kill the talking parrot. The
parrot had heard one of the robbers call the other “J.J.” and was
scared that the parrot would turn into a “stool pigeon” and tell the
owner who robbed them. While inside the house, the police were
called and the 3 robbers were arrested.

One more: In Livermore, California, a $40,000 ceramic mural was
unveiled outside a library only to reveal the wrong spelling of the
names Albert Einstein, William Shakespeare, Vincent Van Gogh,
Michelangelo, and 70 other figures of history. The artist Maria Alquilar
of Miami said she would fix it.

You see what I mean about stupidity? It is here and it is here to stay.
So I am trying here to offer some questions and answers as to why
some people and things are….well…STUPID!!!

The tone of this book is very different than what you may have read
before. It is forceful, criticizing, humorous, controversial, antagonizing,
strange, weird, unusual, etc, etc. You may not agree withal you will read
here and I expect to take a lot of heat for this. But hey, this is a free country
and I can say what I want. If you are looking for a professional book,
then you need to go elsewhere. If you want to find out how dumb we humans
have become and some of the dumbass things we do, read on, and on, and on
for there is plenty! I wrote this as I see it and I hope that someone out there
that reads this will agree with me.

In closing, if you would like to tell me anything good or bad, send me an
comment. Would like to hear criticism or praise. And this especially
goes out to those of you who will try to steal my idea of this book as your
own: DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!!!! Just read and enjoy…or criticize...or
whatever. And a piece of advice for all of us: DON’T BE STUPID! THINK
BEFORE YOU ACT!!!
