Thank you for stopping by our Inspiration&Motivations section. we hope you will

find something here that will help you to become the great person you were meant

to be. We decided to add this part to our site after seeing the September 11 attacks

and the emotional damage it caused us all. We felt like we needed to uplift and

inspire everyone on a constant basis due to not only that tragic event, but with so

much negativity as well in the world. We welcome your submissions to this part

or any part of our site. We also welcome your own personal stories of success and

of overcoming obstacles and adversity. And to prove this point, I shall share with you

a personal success story of mine. Though it may seem small and petty to some who

read it, to me it taught me a valuable lesson in life. One I shall never forget.

THE BOLT

I was at a local scrap yard one day looking for a used starter, not wanting to pay full

price for a new one. (One of my cheap moments again) I found a car that had a

starter on it that matched my car and went to work to take the bolts off. The first two

bolts came off easy, but the last one was different. I managed to get the screw about

halfway off the bolt when it decided not to turn anymore. Now the battle began. For 20

minutes I fought with that bolt/screw but to no avail. Finally I was about to give up and go

to another car when from somewhere deep inside my mind a voice said " Don't give up

on this one. Step back and look at it another way". So I did just that. I backed off and looked

at it differently. Then I saw how the bolt may come off another way, so I went back to work on

it. 5 minutes later the starter was off the car and laying on the ground.

The lessons I learned here and will never forget is that there is always another way to

achieve a goal or a purpose. If what you are doing is not working, then you may have to

step back and look at things from another way. Sometimes that other way is just what you

may need to succeed. The old saying "If at first you don't succeed, try another way" really

worked here. Add to this that sometimes a success is just on the near side of giving up.

Thank you for letting me share this personal experience with you. Though it may small to

some, to me it is a reminder of the power of seeing things differently.
