In this section we will attempt to answer some of your questions about our site and why it is
the way it is. We hope that we covered our bases well here but if we did not, please feel free
to send us any question you have about our site. We can send you an answer personally or
share it with everyone.
O.K. Ed first things first. Why is this site the way it is? Why do you have love poems, quotes
and phrases for inspiration, and above all two cats? Why not just put up a plain, regular shopping
site like mostly everyone else is doing?
Because we wanted to be very different. You know, all the big companies are trying to be very
different in their marketing and their products in general. For instance, one cellular company
tells us to "Express Yourself" while a major computer company tells us to "Invent". The internet
itself is full of many many different ideas and expressions of individuality and creativity. (Though
some of them are more wacked out than ours!) We wanted to express our imaginations in our own
way , so this is why the site is the way it is. We also wanted to try to do some things that most sites
are not doing and also are hesitant to do..... such as revealing what is going on behind the scenes
of their sites. (Our Site Diary).
Also, we had to make some changes here about your sending us emails. Due to them JAL's (Jack
Assed Losers) spammers, we had to instead have you either send us a message via our Guest Book
OR our Feedback form.
Also a lot of sites do not want to reveal how big or small they are. It is said that a mom and pop
type site are not trustworthy and can't do what the big boys do. Yes that may be true in some
cases, but due to the internet itself the playing field has been leveled a lot. It is now much much
easier to find what you want from a chair and a computer than to go from store to store physically.
(Both ways have their good and bad points). We feel like we can give a more personal touch with
being a smaller site and we can interact much more with our guests and customers. Bigger is not
always better as I am finding out in keeping this site going. (There is 2 tales to tell here!)
But by telling so much about yourself, don't you feel it will hurt you?
Life is a chance and this is a chance we are taking. Let's ask: Do you know who exactly you are
buying from when you shop at most sites? Can you put a face to the site name? Their hobbies?
Their cats name? (I just had to ask that one!) How much can you actually interact with the site
webmasters? This is why we are doing this. So you know who you are buying from and also to
entertain and inspire you. I am seeing also that some smaller sites are doing some of these things
now.
And the 2 cats????
Just being light hearted and truly different. Plus I tell G-Rock and Asia that they need to get a job
and to start earning their keep. So you might say this is their job.
And what's up on the other parts of your site?
Again to express our creativity, imagination, and humor. Our Privacy Policy came to be because
trying to read the privacy policies of so many other sites and trying to figure them out with all the
legal talk. I wonder why it can't be put in simpler terms. Scams&Frauds we added because I too
got taken online not once, but twice. So this is our way of keeping up on the latest scams and frauds
on the internet. After the 9/11 attacks we felt like everyone could use a lift, so the Inspiration&Motivation
section was added. And being poets we felt we wanted to share some of our poems with the world. Thus
was born our Love Poems section. Our Site Diary we wanted to tell you what is going on behind the
scenes of our site so you will know just what we are going through to maintain this site.
